LT Foods Americas (LTFA) is part of LT Foods Limited, an emerging global food company, with Net Sales more than $1 billion globally, operating across a range of categories including specialty rice, organic foods and convenience rice-based products. The Company is engaged in milling, processing and marketing of branded and non-branded basmati rice, and manufacturing of rice food products in India & international market. LT Foods has a global presence including India, Middle East, United Kingdom, Europe and United States. Its operations include contract farming, procurement, storage, processing, packaging and distribution. Its rice product portfolio comprises brown, white, steamed, parboiled, organic, quick cooking brown rice, and ready-to-heat rice. The Production Supervisor oversees the Production Department, ensuring quality products are delivered in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role focuses on managing people, equipment, and processes to achieve production targets. The ideal candidate fosters a positive workplace culture, motivates team members, and drives operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Set clear job expectations, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Recruit, train, and develop team members to achieve operational goals.
Foster a collaborative and engaged team culture to boost morale and productivity.
Operational Management:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily targets.
Monitor workflow, analyze production metrics, and implement cost-effective solutions.
Oversee quality control processes in conjunction with Quality department to ensure compliance with food safety and GMP standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiencies, recovery yields, and FTQ (First Time Quality).
Draft and update SOPs, training materials, and operational procedures.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, CPI methodologies, and reliability initiatives.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to food safety (HACCP, HARPC, GFSI standards, and other food safety regulations) and workplace safety (OSHA) regulations.
Conduct safety training and enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Act as a liaison by fostering positive and cooperative working relationships between departments to ensure seamless operations.
Provide timely production reports and address operational issues promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years in food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role overseeing 30 + personnel team.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HACCP/HARPC, GMPs, Lean Manufacturing, and food safety standards.
- Technical Skills: Mechanically inclined with the ability to support and guide maintenance teams.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills.
- Additional Skills: Ability to work hands-on when required; SAP knowledge preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the grain industry or similar.
- Familiarity with GFSI standards (SQF – Level 3, FSSC-22000).
- Previous experience creating SOPs and training documentation.
